EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT can be a quick and effective way of releasing emotional and mental blocks.
This therapy brings the knowledge of acupuncture together with modern psychological methods.
It is practised by gently tapping on certain acupuncture points while focusing on the feelings that bother you.
In doing so, it is possible to release emotional patterns which can be obstacles in your life.
Some of the conditions, EFT has succesfully helped:

  • fears, e.g. fear of flying, fear of injections, dentists, illness, exams...
  • traumas... such as accidents
  • poor self belief and low self esteem
  • challenging situations, e.g. loss of a loved one, change of school or job, the effects of bullying...
  • panic attacks


    Examples from Mark`s practice

    One week I treated 3 people for fear of flying.
    All three were delete on going on the plane after one session.
    One commented that her partner was more bothered than herself- but that may have been,
    because she had spilt her tomato juice over him on a previous flight...

    A young woman who I normally treat with shiatsu, came up with a fearful feeling about
    her new job.
    She would be working for the first time in a cafe, and the thought of handling a complicated coffeemachine, getting the orders right and dealing with many people at the same time made her very nervous.
    Although her taster working day was successful, she felt a panicking feeling every time that new people entered the cafe.
    After having had one EFT session she still felt a bit nervous before going to her job, but when she was confronted with the stressful situations, she felt much calmer and able to cope.
